Enjoy Cruising More — Try Motion Sickness Tablets

Motion sickness is an affliction which affects many young travelers, and many adults too.  The symptoms typically include nausea, dizziness and headaches.  It can be quite distressing, and makes it difficult to enjoy traveling.  The only cure for motion sickness, really, is to stop the motion which caused the feeling to occur.  This is not exactly a viable option if you are in the middle of a cruise or long haul flight.  If you can prevent the feeling from occurring in the first place, then you will be much more comfortable. Motion sickness affects a great many adults and children.  It can occur on almost any form of transport.  It is not contagious, it is simply a defense mechanism brought into action when the brain is receiving conflicting signals about movement from the eyes and ears.

How To Treat Motion Sickness

There are many different treatments for motion sickness.  One of the most effective is the motion sickness patch , known as Transderm Scopolamine.  This is usually worn behind the ear, and can provide relief for up to three days at a time.  The main drawback to the patch is that it must be applied four hours before you anticipate feeling  motion sick. Can Wrist Bracelets Cure Motion Sickness?

Motion sickness can occur anywhere there is movement, from boats and cars to theme park rides.  If you or one of your traveling companions is struck with motion sickness, you could find the entire day ruined.  In fact, you do not even have to me traveling to feel motion sick – some people suffer from motion sickness when watching films or playing computer games.

Motion sickness can be prevented, but some of the medicinal cures have side effects, and other cures, such as eating ginger, or lying down, are not always convenient or possible.  Thankfully, there is a motion sickness device that can prevent motion sickness without side effects, and without causing inconvenience to the sufferer.  This device is the pressure bracelet. Motion Sickness Symptoms

The most common symptom of motion sickness is nausea (which incidentally means 'sea sickness' in Greek), other symptoms include vomiting and headaches.  Unlike many illnesses, however, vomiting usually does not make you feel any better at all.

How To Deal With Motion Sickness

There are a number of drugs that help you combat motion sickness quite efficiently but at the same time they will make you feel drowsy and/or induce sleep; the best cure so far is the wrist bands which regulate your pulse and thus, stop the nauseous feeling and vomiting as well. One of the quickest ways to stop motion sickness is to get your ears and eyes to agree with each other.

This can be done by looking out of a window, or getting up on deck if you are on a boat.  If you can stare at the horizon, you will quickly find that your brain calms down and no longer feels the need to induce the defense mechanism that is making you feel sick.  Another thing to try is dry crackers to settle your stomach, and green apples, or something containing ginger.  These things are traditional home remedies which can help reduce the feeling of motion sickness and make you feel better more quickly.

Try Home Remedies To Cure Motion Sickness

Have you ever suddenly felt sick when you were in a car, on a boat, or perhaps enjoying a ride on a roller coaster at an amusement park?  Motion sickness is very common, and indicates an over-sensitivity of the inner ear, which usually works to keep us balanced.

When the brain is unable to match the messages it receives from the ear and eye, it deducts that the body is endangered by poison since it is hallucinating. Hence, as a self-defense, it orders the stomach to expel its contents. Read more

Ever wondered what actually causes motion sickness?  Here is a non-medical explanation of what triggers motion sickness.  Basically, motion sickness occurs when your brain receives conflicting signals from various parts of your body based on environmental changes that you might be experiencing.

For example, lets say you are riding in the backseat of a car and your eyes are focused on the back of the seat in front of you.  Your eyes may be  sending your brain signals of a stationary activity, but your inner ear can feel the motion of the car and sends your brain a different message to that effect.  So your brain receives conflicting messages.  The result? Nausea, dizziness, headaches and sweating which are known all to well by those who are prone to suffering from .  Thank goodness for the wonder herb called ginger. Read more
