Discover the Popular Caribbean Cruise Destinations

Caribbean cruises are one of the finest ways to spend a holiday.  Usually, the cruise will give you some information about where you are going, but it is a good idea to do a little homework if you want to get the most out of your trip.  There will be plenty of on-board activities to keep you entertained, but if you want to make the most out of the land excursions, then knowing a little about the islands you will be visiting will be a big help.

Below are some of the most popular caribbean cruise destinations.

St. Croix, Virgin Islands

It is on the Eastern side of the Caribbean. St. Croix is located in the Virgin Islands and for people with sporty tastes, it is virtually a paradise. You can go kayaking here. And yes, if you want to feel some history playing in front of you, have a look at the place where Christopher Columbus landed.

St. Thomas, Virgin Islands

When you are in the Virgin Island, how can you miss visiting St. Thomas? It is by far the best place to go for snorkeling at the Cinnamon Bay National Park. And why should you do that. Well for the simple reason that nature has kept the surrounding waters of St. Thomas very shallow and you can easily see all types of marine creatures here. And that is some experience to have.

Scuba Diving in Grenada

Grenada was almost completely devastated by Hurricane Ivan in 2004, but it is still a wonderful place to visit, especially if you like underwater adventure.  Grenada is a great place for scuba diving, with underwater volcanoes and wonderful multi-colored tropical fish.

Markets in Jamaica

Jamaica has a lot to offer all kinds of tourists – from bamboo rafting for adrenaline junkies, to bustling markets that are ideal for finding souveniers to take back home.

Conado Beach, Puerto Rico

You must have heard of Conado Beach. It is perhaps one of the most famous beaches in the world. Puerto Rico is certainly worth a visit for all you on Caribbean cruise.

A Years Worth of Beaches in Aruba

Aruba is a small island in the Dutch Antilles, but it is well worth visiting – it boasts over a year worth of beaches – in the literal sense, with 365 beaches to sample, so you could spend a long holiday here and never get bored, as there will always be something new to explore.  Aruba is considered a paradise island, and is well worth exploring on your Caribbean cruise.

I wish I had this list before my last cruise. It is so important to choose a good excursion. We decided to do horseback riding on the beach which I thought sounded romantic and fun. Except it wasn't a private beach but one filled with tourists! And so the horses were nervous and the tourists were nervous and we were nervous. What a disaster.
