Singles Cruises: Discover All There Is To Know

In case you did not know, cruise vacations are some of the most relaxing and exciting vacations around.  Imagine paying one price, packing and unpacking only once and seeing three or four unforgettable destinations.  Worried that you will be bored on board the ship?  Not a chance!

Cruises ships are nothing more than floating luxury hotels, with all the pleasures you can expect from a land resort and much more.  You can relax by the pool, enjoy fabulous dining, and visit some of the most beautiful places on earth.  Often times, when we think of cruises, we tend think of couples in love spending a romantic getaway together or perhaps we picture cruises that cater to families and groups.  So what about the rest of the would-be-cruisers who would like to  take a cruise but have no one to go with?  If that is you, listen up!  You can go on a singles cruise and have the time of your life

Singles cruises cater to the unattached and people looking for love.  They combine all of the excitement and adventure of an exotic cruise with singles friendly events and ice breakers added to the program.  Singles cruises are great for making new friends and hanging out with old ones.  The intention of the cruise director is to ensure that individuals have a great time and get to meet as many new people as possible.

What Are Singles Cruises All About?

As with any cruises, the length of singles cruises differs depending on your budget as well as the destination.  Some cruises last for a few days while others can last for a few weeks.  The most common length of singles cruises is four days; one day at sea, two days visiting ports, and another day at sea.  The length of singles cruises are also dependent on the location that the cruise is traveling to.  Cruises to the Bahamas can be much shorter than cruises to Hawaii because of the length of time it takes the cruise ship to get to the islands.

The good thing about singles cruises is that they are conducted aboard ships carrying typical cruise passengers as well.  However, there are special events and activities that are offered to single passengers only.   In other words, only single individuals who have booked the singles cruise will be allowed to attend the many singles-only events that have been planned by the cruise director.

What exactly do these "singles only" activities include?  For starters, there are special  meet and greets where single passengers can mix and mingle with other single passengers.  Other singles-only activities include cocktail parties, games, shore excursions, and more.  If you are a single cruiser, you can sign up for these events prior to departure or once you are aboard the cruise ship.  There is no better way to ensure an unforgettable cruise vacation that to get out there and make full use of the activities that have been planned just for you!

Singles cruises can be found by contacting a travel agent or searching for singles cruises online.  Searching for the cruises online will give you a wider selection of cruises and cruise lines to choose from as well as allowing you to compare prices to see which one is the better value.  If you choose to search for a cruise online, take extra caution and make sure to check the reputation of the company that is hosting or selling the cruises before you book your cruise and make payment online.

There is nothing worse than discovering that  you have been scammed out of several hundred dollars and that you do not have a cabin on the cruise.  On the contrary, you want to be able to sail into the sunset and enjoy a singles cruise with other like minded adventurous single cruisers!  Bon Voyage!
