Mexico Cruises – A Unique Experience
All About Mexico
The first thing that you need to know about Mexico cruises is that you really do not need to learn Spanish to have a wonderful time in Mexico. The people know English and can easily help you if you need directions. However, if you are learning the language and would like to practice it, it is a great way to perfect your accent.
Mexico cruises are so much fun for a variety of reasons. First of all, one of the most popular cruise ship stops is Cozumel, Mexico. Cozumel Mexico is off of the Yucatan peninsula, and is one of the most interesting places to go shopping.
The shopping area near Cozumel, the main port in Mexico, is very good – offering lots of designer goods at reasonable prices, and featuring a number of beauty stores too.
Just next door to the shopping area is a place called Carlos and Charlies, which is ideal for people seeking fun and humorous souvenirs to take back home with them.
Once you're done shopping, you could take a trip to the ruins of Machu Pichu to learn a little about Mexican culture. You will need to book an excursion for this, as it is a little difficult to get to, but it is a fascinating place and well worth the trip.
Something that many people wonder is how long it will take to get to Mexico. Well, of course this will have to do with where you choose to take the cruise from. However, if, for example, your point of disembarkation is Florida, it will take a day or two at sea before you get to Cozumel, Mexico.
You can still do the usual 'cruise' things in Mexico, such as sunbathe and relax on the beach – there are lots of land excursions which will take you to the beach, and your cruise line or travel agent will be happy to help you find the best activities and excursions to suit your tastes.
