We took a family cruise on Carnival a few years back and their was one thing I was really impressed with - all the various programs they have for children. they break these programs and organized activities into appropriate age groups. The plus' include professional youth activity coordinators who know what each age group will enjoy and they have a night where they take the kids off your hands from early evening until the next morning, keeping them active and giving you and your spouse some well-deserved time alone. I think Carnival is probably the best at offering programs for children, adolescents, and teens, as well as adults. If you want to take a cruise with the family but also want a romantic night alone then Carnival is the way to go.

Beth is right on point!! Carnival cruises are IDEAL for families.
We did a complete family reunion cruise with Carnival and the kids had a ball. The Carnival kids program and activities kept them fully entertained. Even my brother's kids, who are usually very shy and attached to their parents, could not get enough of the Carnival kids program, much to the delight of my brother and his wife, who got to spend some romantic private time together, away from the kids.
