The Costa Cruise Line: Italian Luxury
High Hopes For The Costa Concordia
The year 2006 was a special year for Costa Cruise line because of the introduction of their largest ship yet, the Costa Concordia. This ship, which has been advertised everywhere for more than a year now, has kindled great expectations from the Costa Cruise line clientele, who are already used to the incomparable quality that the Costa Cruise line has given them.
The Costa Concordia is based in the USA, in Miami, although it is still owned by the Carnival Corporation in Italy. The ship is truly impressive to behold, and continues the trend of quality and excellence that people have come to expect from Costa.
It has a totally European theme for its interiors, which makes it feel like it is made for royalty. All the rooms on the ship are named after important places in Europe. Hence, you will be delighted to find the Milan dining room, the Grand Bar Berlin, the Rome dining room, and the Cafeteria Helsinki among many others.
The Costa Cruise Line has been responsible for many 'firsts' in the cruise industy, as they always aim to have something new and interesting on their ships. The most rescent thing to have been introduced by the Costa Cruise line is a Formula 1 simulator, which thrills and fascinates many guests on the Costa Concordia.
While it can be said that the Costa Cruise line is a lot of fun to cruise on, the line still has an emphasis on luxury and quality. If the Formula 1 simulator is not to your liking, then perhaps you would enjoy taking classes in Italian cooking. Or, you could relax and enjoy the round the clock food service and partake of the excellent midnight buffets. The ship also features a casino, karaoke contests, a piano bar, and talent contests. There are so many choices it is almost impossible to be bored on a Costa Cruise.
If fitness is a priority, then you may wish to take advantage of the state of the art fitness center and spa on the Costa Concordia. Or, if you like to stay connected – for work or leisure, then there is internet access available, although this is not included in the price of the cruise. A trip on a Costa Cruise line offers you the chance to get away from it all, but still allows you to engage in the hobbies you enjoy.
The Costa Concordia will initially be sailing around the Western Mediterranean coast, stopping off at many ports within Europe. They will be offering cruises all year round, and would make a good choice for anyone seeking to see Europe in style.
